This Omega is a rare find, featuring a magnificent deep black dial and applied rose-gold-colored «spike» hour markers. It is rare due to its large size and beautiful, wide, straight lugs, giving it a highly balanced look characteristic of 1950s watches.
It is powered by a certified chronometer automatic movement—the gold standard of its era. Omega Constellations were renowned for their precision and the quality of their movements. The case back is also in excellent condition, featuring the gold medallion depicting the Geneva Observatory. A distinctive detail of this series is the case back, which is a snap-on type rather than screw-down.
