Description
A 1930s Jaeger-LeCoultre «Double Quantième» (day-Date) watch featuring an Art Deco, Calatrava-style design. Despite its compact 30mm size, this timepiece possesses a bold personality.
Size is of little consequence here, as the eye is immediately drawn to the red day aperture at 12 o’clock. It is a marvel of design and balance. The Date display is circular—also in red—and encircles the stunning black dial. It features sword-shaped hands and radium indices with a beautiful patina. The Arabic numerals (3, 9, and 12) and the elegant sub-seconds dial at 6 o’clock ensure perfect legibility for this captivating timepiece.
Its manual-wind Calibre 412 was one of the first to feature this day-Date complication. The dial exudes a sense of gentle poetry while remaining perfectly readable. If you appreciate something distinctive, this watch is sure to catch your eye and win you over.
This Jaeger-LeCoultre Double Quantième has been serviced and comes with a one-year warranty. It can be viewed at 38 Rue de Seine, Paris (6th arrondissement)
